and after I'd finished, I started clicking (as you do) on random features on Youtube that are offered to us, this was the moment I discovered the Captions Button!! dun dun duuuuuuun! So I had to rewatch the video to see what it was like with Captions...and all I can say is...I'm sooo very glad I did! Below are a few examples! But it's well worth watching the video with them!
And there you have it! Youtube Captions brought to you by Google, you failed! But won at making me giggle!!
Oh and on a side note, I like Charlies hair red! =)
My house is now tidy...well, the living room and kitchen which is the main parts of the house. This makes me VERY happy! Cos it smells clean and pretty!
ALSO I had my Quiz night yesturday evening and I made £220 (after you add on the money for raffle tickets for people that couldn't make it!)
Really happy with the result and I think everyone who came along!
In other news, Art Vs. Science have announced the tour dates AND I have my ticket!! £6 ohhh yes! Can't wait!!!
I found some quotes from Lord Baden Powell. Some of them are so inspirational and are all the basis of Scouting...
"Look wide, and when you have looked wide, look wider still"
“O God, help me to win, but in thy wisdom if thou willest me not to win, then O God, make me a good loser.”
“We never fail when we try to do our duty, we always fail when we neglect to do it.”
"There's nothing like 'Being Prepared' is there, for what might seem possible, even if it may not seem probable."
"In all of this, it is the spirit that matters. Our Scout law and Promise, when we really put them into practice, take away all occasion for wars and strife among nations"
and finally, When Baden Powell died, he left us all with one last message and it was this...
"Try to leave this world a little better than you found it and, when your turn comes to die, you can die happy in feeling that at any rate you have not wasted your time but have done your best"
I hate this question, why? cos whenever anyone says it they are searching for the easiest thing they could do to make everything better again.
Most people might be able to guess the answers I would give...
Shrink the world. Make it small enough that I can jump to any country I want to. Agreed that it wouldn't make travel quite as exciting, but I'm beyond caring now.
Win the lottery and give me the money so I can go back.
Help me fundraise for Oz Moot.
Give me a job.
Actually, those answers are all wrong, I wouldn't say any of these. It's not that I don't want to, it's that I can't because why should people help me. Everyone has problems and everyone wants to help but what can they do?
I'd say and have said "No it's ok, I'll manage on my own"
Really, all I want is someone to tell me it'll be ok and give me a hug? But can I ask? Like hell I can...
For about four years I've hated this town
So much I just want to get out
Since graduation, was long ago
Please somebody get me out of this hole
Cuz I don't want to get stuck in here
When I am 34, just talkin bout high school years
No I don't wanna be there
I feel so stuck right here
back and forth, side to side, oh my dear
My foot to the floor
I will drive to the place
Where I can kick it with friends through the night
A place we'll talk about now and the past what the future holds
Hangin out with not much to do
Just aimless with each other is what we do
Cuz this ain't where it's at
My friend would second that
And I got to admit sometimes it's pretty sad
But it's Like we're our own brat pack
We're always kickin back
Nobody can take that
And that is that, it's like it's all we have
Comon I say, Oh Oh get on the floor
Dance till you got no more
I know it's there somewhere
Don't worry I'll be there to rock the party all night
To rock into this night our fists in the air
Fightin a good fight
Cuz we were singing along to Peter Gabriel's sledgehammer song
You know it's clear that tonight we belong in this place
So I stand back to reflect in this town I hate
At least just for a second I think I might stay
This ain't where it's at
My friend would second that
And I got to admit sometimes it's pretty sad
But it's Like we're our own brat pack
We're always kickin back
Nobody can take that
And that is that
So I'll run away to the hopes that I have
But still I fall asleep in the arms of my past
And when I wake so helpless of thinking of that
Just lay back down, again everyday
So maybe later today I'll know
What I will do with my life as I know it
Maybe for now I'll drive back to that place where I belong
And hope to God it hasn't changed
This ain't where it's at
My friend would second that
And I got to admit sometimes it's pretty sad
But it's Like we're our own brat pack
We're always kickin back
Nobody can take that
This ain't where it's at
My friend would second that
And I got to admit sometimes it's pretty sad
But it's Like we're our own brat pack
We're always kickin back
Nobody can take that, it's like it's all we have
Sponsered silence. From May 1st 10am - May 2nd 5pm. The normal working hours at Thriftwood Scout Campsite!
People put how much they'll give for every hour I do it for.
So say someone put down £1 an hour, and I lasted for 9 hours, I'd get £9 from that one person. If I did the whole 31 hours (ish) I would get £31 from that one person...
Will work alot better cos people aren't expected to be around for it, they just need people to say I've done it!! Saying that though... Ah well...
Got up, had a really awesome chat with a friend in Australia (Jess, FTW) and went into London (you know, that place with the Queen and many things that are the colour red) with my good friend Kyle.
Things that were done in London.
Went to Covent Garden where Tim Tams were bought (Aussie chocolate bar...major yumness) where the lady who served me was 1. Aussie 2. Highly amused at my love for Tim Tams and Milo.
Went for a LONG walk trying to find China Town and pretty much walked around posh parts of London where people have chauffeur driven cars.
Had Chinese food in China Town.
Went to many different pubs, like the Irish one in Leicester Square which had a tree inside.
Camden. Is there much more to add, went to the Hawley Arms, which I actually really liked.
Kings Cross where we went to Water Rats and had a drink there (yes, lots of drink. love it)
Got home to find my "brother" and his friend outside my house wanting his present from Thailand (Starbucks Cup with Bangkok written on it...simple things)
Facebook, good times. Art Vs Science announcing officially their tour in London!! Oh yes. Will be amazing!!
Then Silver Bullet Network (of Essex, represent) said they're sending 5 members to my Oz Moot fund raiser which I will love them forever for!!
So now, I'm pretty damn hyper on pure happiness and then to top it off me and another friend Kyle joined a new facebook group today, to which we discussed in a manner that could be deemed to some people as chavist, we deem it as bloody hilarious.
So all in all, a pretty damn awesome day!! =)

Things actually done that were on the list last week...
None.
But I have mangaged to organise a quiz night to raise money for Oz Moot, but the turn out is not looking great in the slightest! I need to email a few more people to generate more interest and maybe I might actually get somewhere, but until then I'm slowly loosing my will and drive for much else right now.
I'm gonna team up with people from another Network in Colchester who also want to go to the Moot so we can help eachother raise the money! Hopefully that'll make things a little easier.
This blog is to be used to write out random thoughts, post things that are interesting and update people on what's happening if I'm ever away for too long.
